FormFlo’s unique rolling process can be used for a variety of high volume applications. The process has characteristics that make it particularly suitable for synchronizer sleeves and CV joint cages. Both of which can be made to tolerances and shapes not achievable by other conventional processes.
Constant Velocity Joint Cages
FormFlo’s unique Blank Preparation & Cage Rolling processes. Since the component is formed into a closed die, much tighter tolerances can be achieved than competitive processes substantially reducing the customer’s expensive grinding costs.
Synchroniser Sleeves
FormFlo’s unique Blank Preparation & Sleeve Rolling processes are used to manufacture synchronizer blanks which are then sold directly to sleeve manufacturers or can be finish machined by FormFlo. By working closely with the customers, FormFlo can achieve significant material savings compared to the conventional methods of manufacture and much lower finish processing costs. Since the outer shape is rolled to the finished part tolerances, expensive hard turning can be avoided completely.
